The book contains explanations & discussions about what some great players have said and what they have achieved. However, there are many incidental references to other players on account of in-depth match analysis and examples from real match situations.
In the list that follows, as you can see, most players are current. This is because most examples are from recent matches. Also, many concepts are explained using Indian cricket as a context, simply because I follow more of Indian cricket, being an Indian. But there are examples from other countries. If any great player, either in cricket or in another sport is excluded, it is just incidental depending on the examples cited (this book is not about cricket history).
